How We Measure

All of our garments are measure by hand. The measurements listed on the site are based on average of multiple measured garments. These measurements are approximate and slight variants may occur due to manufacturing.

Measuring the Waist

With the pants buttoned and lying flat, and the waistband pulled taut, measure from the inside edge  of the left side to the inside edge of the right side, and then double that number.

Measuring the Inseam

Make sure the pant leg is completely straight and flat. Run the tape from the inner crotch to leg opening. Make sure the tape is completely flat and taunt along with pant leg. ** For hemming make sure you add an inch or so for sanforized denim as you will get about an inch to 1.5" shrink after your first soak/rinse**

Measuring the Front Rise

With the pants buttoned and lying flat, and the waistband pulled taut, measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waist band.

Measuring the Back Rise

With the pants buttoned and lying flat, and the waistband pulled taut, measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waist band.

Measuring the Thigh

With the pants lying flat, measure from the inside of the leg to the outside of the leg, below the crotch seam. Make sure the the tape measure is taunt.

Measuring the Leg Opening

With the pants lying flat, measure straight across the bottom of the leg.

Measuring the Chest

With the shirt buttoned and lying flat, measure straight across the chest, from armpit seam to armpit seam, and then double that number.

Measuring the Shoulders

With the shirt buttoned and lying flat, measure straight across the shoulder seam.

Measuring the Sleeve

With the shirt buttoned and lying flat, measure along the outside of the sleeve, from the shoulder seam to the tip of the cuff.

Measuring the Length

Early 60's 107 GI chino with Japanese reproduction 12 oz baker back cotton Satin. One of the most famous military pants through history with a beautiful vintage looking finish in a soft Satin Cotton Fabric. High rise with long button front fly, wide leg, front and back patch pockets, Hollywood waistband, vintage reproduction military buttons. Note, due to the high rise you will need a much smaller inseam. Compare your typical  front rise length with these and subtract the difference from your inseam.  These chinos were worn by the entire cast of MASH thru out all 11 seasons. Although there are a few Japanese made versions these are the only ones we know of that are made in America, for that true authentic American feeling.
